The New Zealand Embassy in Seoul is looking for a Team Administrator with prior experience in financial administration and office administration to join the New Zealand Embassy team in Seoul, South Korea.

In this role you will be primarily responsible for the sound, accurate, and transparent management of the Embassy’s financial matters. You will need to have high ethical and professional standards, and integrity.

You will also need to be a strong team player and be required to support the wider administration team, with responsibility as back-up property officer and receptionist, to contribute to the overall successful running of the Embassy.

The New Zealand Embassy is a team of six New Zealand diplomats and 15 staff employed at post, charged

to New Zealanders in Korea.

[About the role]

The Team Administrator (Finance and Administration) is responsible for providing financial administration
to help ensure the efficient and smooth running of the Embassy.
This includes ensuring accurate, transparent and timely accounting and financial transactions, which comply fully
with Ministry guidelines and ensuring prompt and accurate inputs into annual budget, BU and cashflow exercises.
The position involves being the back-up for property duties and receptionist duties as well,
in support of the wider team.

The starting salary range for this position is between KRW 32,773,000 and KRW 44,340,000 per annum,
with position in the range dependent on skills and experience.
The ideal candidate will be available to commence duties in October 2020, or as soon as practicable.

The successful applicant will be employed on local terms and conditions
and must have the right to work in South Korea.
Obtaining and maintaining an appropriate working visa is the responsibility of the applicant and
any offer of employment is subject to this. In addition relocation to Seoul, if required, is to be undertaken
at the expense of the applicant.

[Who are we looking for?]

· A candidate who has one or two years’ experience in a business administration role with a focus on financial management and reporting.

· A candidate who has demonstrated experience of finance functions and processes in an office environment. Experience with Navision is a plus.

· A strong administrator willing and able to support others.

· A team player with a positive and supportive attitude,

· An effective organizer who demonstrates initiative and ability to manage competing demands and priorities.

· A candidate with excellent customer service skills.

· A critical thinker who can anticipate issues and generate creative solutions.

· A candidate who takes pride in and enjoys their work.

· An individual willing to self-reflect and seek continued growth and development.

· Professional proficiency in written and spoken English langauge is required.
